    Determining Soil Organic Matter Amount by a New Method of Thickness Index

    This paper analyses the deficiency of two methods of the organic matter amount and humus layer thickness of the soil.It puts foward a new method of thickness index of soil organic matter amount to determine the thickness index of the amount of organic matter with a standard thickness obtained from the organic matter thickness in different types of medium fertility soils and with the thickness of organic matter amount in soil as the basis of this method,to replace the two methods of organic matter amount and humus layer thickness of the soil.The results obtained in this way better reflect the conditions of cover and soil fertility.
