Study on Occurrence of Titanium Element in Anatase Ores of Shazi, Qinglong, Guizhou Province

The tectonic position of anatase deposit in Shazi area, Qinglong, Guizhou Province is located at the transitional area between Yangtze Platform and the western part of South China orogenic belt.Three industrial ore bodies in this deposit are yielded above the limestone Karst unconformity of the Middle Permian Maokou Formation and at the bottom of Emeishan basalt.Genetic type of deposit is hot water -eluvium talus sedimentary which is related to the eruption of Emeishan basalt.Based on the analysis of chemistry, X-ray phase, electron probe and microscopic identification, etc., the data suggest that TiO2 in anatase ores are mainly present in the form of microgranular inclusions in silicate and quartz; secondly, Ti occurs as isomorphism in limonite; few are as independent minerals existing in the anatase with particle size greater than 0.04mm.According to the occurrence of Ti, it is determined that the anatase ores are extremely refractory, using conventional processing methods (heavy, magnetic, flotation) are not effective in enrichment anatase, but "roasting-acid leaching-alkaline leaching" beneficiation process works and obtain anatase with 42.32% TiO2.Extraction method can also enrich the associated element Sc, obtaining 99.99% scandium oxide products, and the leaching rate of Sc is 90%, which can produce iron oxide red and poly aluminum silicate salt (PSA) coagulant by-product.Mineral resources can be effectively developed and utilized without emission, which can obtain good environmental benefits.

Geochemistry of the Elements in High-As Coal in Southwestern Guizhou

A research on geochemistry of the elements and the geochemistry behavior of REE and trace elements in high-As coal reveal that the formation mechanism of high-As coal is complex in southwestern Guizhou.The analyses indicate that high-As coal differ from the opposite in trace elements content distinctively.The arsenic in the coal-bearing rock series has the same origin with the Au,Hg and Tl ores and the shale in the coal-bearing rock series have inheritance against the basalt of the Emeishan Formation.

Comparative Analysis on characteristics of Chemistry between Scandium Anatase Deposit in Qinglong Shazi and Laterite Gold Deposit in Western Guizhou, China

With scandium anatase deposit of Qinglong Shazi and three typical laterite gold deposit of Laowanchang, Baozidong and Shaguochang in western Guizhou as research objects, this paper makes a comparative analysis on characteristics of geochemistry between scandium anatase and gold deposit:1) The main oxides in the scandium anatase deposits and laterite gold deposits are similar, both of which include SiO2, Al2O3 and Fe2O3 and its features are similar with that of laterite weathering crust in the contemporary age; 2) There are large differences of TiO2 content in the scandium anatase deposits and laterite gold deposits with the TiO2 content is much higher in the former one of 3.42-5.03%.3) Both the scandium anatase deposits and laterite gold deposits have gone through the intense weathering and the complete oxidization; 4) Both the scandium anatase deposits and laterite gold deposits are argillaceous ore, while Laowanchang lateritic gold mines and Baozidong lateritic gold mines are featured with silty clay-based; 5) Baozidong's equals to 10.21-14.13 with the average value is 12.17; which indicates the enrichment of the light rare earth.This obviously reflects the differences of the ore-forming environments.6) According to the analysis result of correlation of trace elements of scandium anatase deposits of Qinglong Shazi, it can be seen that related elements can obviously be divided into two groups with the correlation coefficient above 0.6: Au-Ag-As-Sb-Hg-Tl group and Sc-TiO2-Cu-Fe-Mn group.

The modes of occurrence and washing floatation characteristic of arsenic in coal from Western Guizhou

Using polarizing microscope,scanning electron microscope equipped with dispersive X-ray energy,electronic probe and float-sink experiment,and combining with the field geological features,the preservative status,geological processes for arsenic enrichment and washability of high-As coal in Western Guizhou Province were studied.The results indicate that the mode of occurrence of arsenic is not showed as independent form of mineral,there is an obvious positive correlation between the content of arsenic and pyrite sulfur in coal,most of arsenic in coal is associated with arsenic-bearing pyrite,the significant distinguishing feature of arsenic mineralization includes that the grain of the arsenic is very fine,most of arsenic is occurred in form of isomorphism,solid liquid,super-microscopical sized arsenic adsorbed in the secondary enlargement rim of pyrite or coming into crystal defect and crystal interface of pyrite.The elements of arsenic and sulfur in high-As coal mainly distribute in pyrite,so the concentration of arsenic could be effectively reduced if the sulfur would be removed.However,the grains of pyrite,which have strong organic affinity and complex dissemination feature in coals,are tiny.It is too difficult to separate the pyrite from coal within the range of flotation size.Even the fineness of grinding of coal is increased,the separation effect is not obvious.Therefore,most of As is hard to be removed through physical washing method from raw coals.

A Initial Study Of Origin Of Siliceous Rocks In Honghuayuan Formation At Wudang Teaching Base In Guiyang

Siliceous rocks of Honghuayuan formation is lumps,lenticular,irregular-shaped between DA Mawo fault and XIAO Mawo fault in WU Dang area.Through Field observations and microscopic research,it can see the remnants of texture and structure of sedimentary rocks in siliceous rocks.Constant elements analysis shows that the main element in siliceous rocks is SiO2,the others are lower.Through researching the rocks under the microscope,chemical analysis,trace elements analysis,REE analysis,the initial guesses: the formation of siliceous rocks in the area is that a lot of silica containing in hydrothermal play a role in the Honghuayuan formation bioclastic limestone,then occurring products by SiO2,exchanging bioclastic limestone,while the hydrothermal activity and tectonic movement in this area.

Metallogenetic factors of high-As coal in southwestern Guizhou

Based on field geological properties and chemical analysis results,the metallogenetic factors and genesis of high-As coal in southwestern Guizhou Province are disscused in this paper.According to the analysis of ore-forming geological factors,the formation of the high As coal was restricted by various orecontrolling factors,such as the magmatic rock factors,the sedimentary facies and paleogeographic factors,the lithological factors,the structure factors,and so on.It can be considered that the enrichment of arsenic may be divided into four stages: stage of the ore source bed formation,stage of the Longtan coal-bearing rock series formation,stage of the ore-bearing hydrothermal formation,stage of the high arsenic coal deposit formation.
