RESERVOIR CHARACTERISTICS AND SEISMIC IDENTIFICATION IN CARBONIFEROUS BURIED HILL IN SOUTH CHINA SEA

Carboniferous carbonate in the basement of A depression in South China Sea has suffered the weathering and erosion actions for long geological ages during Permian-Cretaceous,hence,a lot of favorable carbonate karst reservoirs are developed there.However,further exploration has always been constrained by the complexity of the karst reservoir development in carbonate buried-hill.Based on the classification and comparison of the karst reservoirs,the paper concluded that the karst reservoirs in this region could be classified into Epikarst zone,vadose karst zone and underflow karst zone.The reservoirs are primarily composed of solution vugs,cavities and structural fractures,among which solution vugs and cavities are the main storage spaces while structural fractures mainly play roles connecting the matrix pores,solution vugs as well as cavities,and improving the infiltration of reservoirs.By using drilling information to calibrate the karst reservoir,it is concluded that Epikarst zone is characterized by weak amplitude,weak connectivity(low coherence)and low impedance while the inner reservoir is characterized by minor phase axis,strong amplitude,high energy and low impedance,therefore,the karst reservoirs can be i-dentified with seismic attributes.

Compression between microcontinents in the Cathaysian Block during the early Yanshanian: petrogenesis of the Tangquan pluton in Southwest Fujian Province, Southeast China

Southeast China is characterized by widespread Mesozoic igneous rocks, which have drawn a great deal of attention in recent decades because of their tectonic significance and related large‐scale mineralization. Among these igneous rocks, The Tangquan pluton in Southwest Fujian Province is the only adakitic pluton that has been discovered within the Cathaysian Block. It is mainly composed of a central unit of granodiorite with peripheral granodioritic porphyries. Two medium‐grained granodiorite samples have zircon U‐Pb ages of 162.2 ± 2.0 Ma and 163.0 ± 1.4 Ma, indicating intrusion in Middle Jurassic times. Adakite‐like geochemical features of the pluton include high Sr/Y (46.7) and (La/Yb) N (25.5) values, and low Y (12.2 ppm) and Yb (1.04 ppm) abundances. All samples have low εNd(t) values (average −9.49) and high initial 87 Sr/ 86 Sr ratios (average 0.708242). These results suggest that the adakitic rocks were generated by partial melting in thickened crust. The Tangquan pluton probably formed during the extrusion collision of microcontinents within the Cathaysian Block related to subduction of the Pacific Plate, which caused crustal thickening and partial melting of Neoproterozoic crust with arc‐like magmatic characteristics. Because the extrusion collision occurred between microcontinents in an intraplate (Cathaysian Block) setting, the effects of the extrusion collision were not as strongly felt as those involved in the Jiangshan‐Shaoxing Fault along which numerous adakitic rocks were emplaced with related porphyry‐type copper deposits. LA-ICP-MS Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of Volcanic Rocks in the Shuangqiaoshan Group at Anhui-Jiangxi Boundary Region and Its Geological Implication

The low-grade metamorphic andesite, rhyolite and tuff are found in the Shuangqiaoshan Group in the Qimen-Pingli area at the Anhui-Jiangxi border region. In this study, we present LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating and geochemical analysis results for the volcanic rocks found in the Shuangqiaoshan Group. The LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating shows that these volcanic rocks were formed at (822.4±6.0) Ma, (821.2±4.6) Ma and (830.4±4.9) Ma, which indicates an early Neoproterozoic age of the Shuangqiaoshan Group. In geochemical composition, these volcanic rocks are mainly moderately potassium calc-alkaline, relatively LREE enriched, HREE and HFSE high field strength elements (Nb, Ta and Ti) depleted, and likely were formed in the island arc environment. Whole rock Nd isotope study shows that the andesite was derived by partial melting of subducted oceanic crust and mantle-derived materials contributed to generation of rhyolite and tuff. Combining with the regional geological information, we believe that the volcanic rocks in the Shuangqiaoshan group at the Anhui-Jiangxi border region geodynamically coincide with freguently occurred magmatic activities in South China for the same period (838 Ma-820 Ma). Another word, these volcanic rocks were the results of island arc magmatism at that time.

Age of the Fushui intermediate-mafic intrusive complex in the Qinling orogen:new zircon U-Pb and whole-rock Sm and Nd isotope chronological evidence

The Fushui intermediate-mafic intrusive complex is consided to be the product of intrusion of depleted mantle-derived magmas of different ages. In the complex, medium-fine-grained hornblende gabbro, medium-fine-grained hornblende-biotite gabbro, medium-coarse-grained hornblende-biotite monzonite and medium-coarse-grained hornblende-biotite diorite belong to a magmatic evolutionary sequence of the same magma source. The zircon U-Pb age of 514.3±1.3 Ma of hornblende-biotite monzonite represents the age of these rocks, reflecting that an important crust-forming event in the Early Paleozoic. Hornblende-biotite diorite has a quite different isotopic age from the first three rock types. It probably formed in the Neoproterozoic.

Morphing Quadrotors: Enhancing Versatility and Adaptability in Drone Applications—A Review

The advancement of drone technology has underscored the critical need for adaptability and enhanced functionality in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Morphing quadrotors, capable of dynamically altering their structure during flight, offer a promising solution to extend and optimize the operational capabilities of conventional drones. This paper presents a comprehensive review of current advancements in morphing quadrotor research, focusing on morphing concept, actuation mechanisms and flight control strategies. We examine various active morphing approaches, including the integration of smart materials and advanced actuators that facilitate real-time structural adjustments to meet diverse mission requirements. Key design considerations—such as structural integrity, weight distribution, and control algorithms—are meticulously analyzed to assess their impact on the performance and reliability of morphing quadrotors. Despite their significant potential, morphing quadrotors face challenges related to increased design complexity, higher energy consumption, and the integration of sophisticated control systems. The discussion on challenges and opportunities highlights the necessity for ongoing advancements in morphing quadrotor technologies, particularly in addressing adaptive control problems associated with highly nonlinear and dynamic morphing aircraft systems, and in the potential integration with smart materials. By synthesizing the latest research and outlining prospective directions, this paper aims to serve as a valuable reference for researchers and practitioners dedicated to advancing the field of morphing quadrotor technologies.
